About Me
I am simply someone who has had weight issues since 20 years old. I have gone through 3 major weight loss eras. One from pregnancy at 19 years old (probably shouldn't count), one from crash dieting at 22, last from 1200 calorie counting (no macro goals) at 25 without exercise aside from 10k daily steps. Now, I take everything I have learned into making sure that this will be my final weight loss. I'm heading towards 40 years old! That's hella depressing! Not the age I ever imagined I would be this fat for so long.
Oh yeah and diabetes and epilepsy runs in my family so that's a thing I worry about often.
I am currently on the keto diet which I don't plan on doing long term. It's more of a way for me to be mindful of the foods I eat and to focus on portion control along with a means to incorporate more protein and veggies in my diet. "Diet" is used loosely but I don't think I am doing keto right sometimes lol but it is still a baseline for me to work with at the end of the day. I'm awful at memory so I created a separate blog for my go-to keto recipes called Keto Recipe Tester but I am also in the process of making a physical DIY cookbook.
Calorie counting tends to be a hot topic and is not for everyone but I find this to be a reasonable jump start for me personally. I used to be a binge eater of all things sweets and fried foods and wanted to take that power back. Everything is a learning process. Do what you want. What works for you won't for others.
This blog is my way of holding myself accountable and seeing what works and doesn't work. So stick around if you want to see my progress. You can quickly jump to my weight loss tag if you want to see a more condensed version of this blog.
