April 22, 2024 Diary


Super bad news to share. I will be forced to pause FB FIT due to a stress fracture in my tibia - think of it like being hit in your shins really hard - so yeah but I'm not quitting exercising at all I just need to pause the high impact workouts so I don't worsen my injury. That's why I was doing all those modifications in early April. My leg was in so much pain but I continued to exercise and walk 10k daily against my better judgement. The workouts had nothing to do with my fracture, the incident happened in the evening in mid-late March and nobody inflicted any harm to me, I ran into a desk in the dark. With a lot of force. It's been at least 4 weeks and while the pain and swelling INITIALLY went down, Friday's workout reopened those flood gates. I went weeks with low-moderate pain but my leg has now been in non stop pain since that Friday workout. 🙃 

Do yourself a favor and uh never fracture any of your  tibias. In the wise words of Cinderella:  "You don't know what you got til it's gone." I hate being old and fragile. Google says I can do low impact so I guess I will have to do that then. I can't let a leg injury stop me from exercising now can I?

Lastly, I finished my Jasmine Green Tea box that was previously opened so now I am going to take a crack at opening my surplus boxes, starting with Cocoa Mint Puerh. Each box has 16 bags so each one should last me a 2 1/2 weeks if I use a single bag every single day.

Day 22 of 54 of the FB FIT Round 1 Program. All workouts are from Fitness Blender unless noted.

-44 Minute Cardio, HIIT & Strength Workout I did not do this workout but I will continue to post the remaining workouts for this schedule and will follow their targeted body as a baseline to opt for a more low impact version. It's in the title so I'm going to look for HIIT, Strength and Cardio versions.

-20 Minute HIIT Workout with a Boot (Leg Injury) @Kim Saha I am just blown away of the amount of videos of leg injury friendly workouts. Super Freaking cool! There really is no excuse to not exercise. If Yes2Next's 83 year old mother shows up to regularly exercise then so can YOU! Leg injury?! Don't know her. BTW this was a nice workout 👌 

-23 Minute Chest and Back @SeniorShapeFitness It was hard looking for a lying down only strength training workout but I found it. Just because it has "senior" in the name doesn't mean it is light at all because you can obviously pick as heavy weights you can stand. It was a tie between this and RayMax's video but his is 10 minutes and I wanted at least 20. So go do his workout if you want a short workout.



For lunch I did my usual air fried kielbasa and broccoli but with a twist!! My son wanted some bacon wrapped jalapeno poppers which I did make him but since there was some excess oil in the aluminum foil pouch, I decided to cook the kielbasa and broccoli in there. Yum! It was lightly oiled so nothing too crazy. But it did add some spicy since the bacon had a VERY big hint jalapeno.

Feta cheese and cherry tomatoes go so amazing together as a quick filling snack. I honestly never ate either of those before doing keto. Pretty happy this is opening my eyes to new foods.
